Observe the Cross Orbweaver (Araneus diadematus). Cross Orbweavers are identified by a unique cross-like pattern on its back near its bottom. These patterns are brownish-yellow with white spots. Cross Orbweavers are most commonly found near buildings that have outdoor lighting fixtures. Females average size is thirteen millimeters while the male is around 9 millimeters long. You will spot them during the late summer and early autumn season.
